■About the work
The hawk in the background is taken from Soga Shohaku's "Hawk Painting."
This painting was originally created by reusing a hawk painting created in 2014 for the TV drama "Last Doctor: The Autopsy Report of Medical Examiner Akita, Episode 6" (August 22, TV Tokyo) as a painting by the artist played by Osugi Ren. Before the presentation at Shinjuku Takashimaya in 2017, I received many messages in Spanish from Mexicans on social media, which I ignored thinking were spam. However, one Spanish person, who had grown impatient, came to Japan in person and flocked to the venue, where he bought the painting and took it home with him on the spot, making it a memorable piece.
