■About the work
The phrase "Dogyo ni ninja" refers to ascetics who make the pilgrimage to the 88 sacred sites of Shikoku, and expresses the idea that "even if they are walking alone, in their hearts they are walking with Kobo Daishi." This phrase is written on the umbrellas and clothing of the vendors.
This drawing is based on a science fiction fantasy that one day a spaceship may be created that makes "pilgrimages" through outer space.
"Camminare insieme" is Italian for the two companions, and comes from the fact that the painting was created in Italy and the design was based on the "Maserati Birdcage 75th" concept car created by Pininfarina.
