狐は歌川国芳の浮世絵「本朝水滸伝豪傑 上総助廣常」から引用しています。着物の紋様はイタリアのカルロ・クリヴェッリの描いた絵から柘榴紋様を引用し、日本とヨーロッパ、中国など様々な国々のモチーフを敢えて混交させています。
