■About the work
The original canvas was created at the request of ZMP, a venture company developing self-driving cars and robots.
ZMP (Zero Moment Point) is an important point (fulcrum, center of gravity) that serves as the starting point of movement when designing the movements of robots and other devices. We were asked to create this with the intention of returning to the origins of the company.
I found the part about "you need a stationary point to create movement" paradoxical and interesting, so I was conscious of this irony and the perspective that runs through history, and combined elements of ancient ox carts and mikoshi (portable shrines) as well as futuristic spaceships to create the work.
