■About the work
The original canvas was created for my first solo exhibition at Shinjuku Takashimaya (2017).
When I decided to exhibit my paintings, which had not been well received in Japan, I thought that if the visitors to my exhibition had any complaints about my paintings, I would be prepared to cut them down in return, so I named a painting of a woman reaching for a sword "Welcome."
